I am using windows XP home edition. Trying to burn a cd with Windows Media
Player. The program will not burn. The message I get is either that the
disk is dirty--I have only used Memorex CDs directly from the pack, or that
the speed is too fast. I have used every speed from the fastest to 4X--no
luck. I know very little about computers but I am following the instructions
step by step. Any help will be appreciated. seac

You should to try with another mark of CD Tries to put a musica CD to see if
it recognizes it, if it does not do it is possible that the this dirty laser
reason why should that to clean. are products for facil it to use.

Nothing wrong with Memorex, they are excellent CDs.
Clean Your CD-R/W - If you find that you are starting to make more coasters
than before, or when you run the simulation test it completes perfectly but
the burns fail you may have a dirty lens. Dust is getting sucked into the
drive all the time and it doesn't take much to affect your laser lens. In
addition, wipe the disk with a clean
dry cotton cloth before inserting in the burner, humidity can cause this
problem
also.

My cd burner always says insert a blank cd when there is one in the
computer. It reads the disk for a while then that message comes up. I dont
know what to do and its driving me nuts.
