Can't boot XP Pro cd at startup

I can't boot windows xp pro at startup, but can boot
other cds like partition magic 8 and my system recovering
dvd (= which i've got when i bought my laptop).

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Don't have a floppy drive.

Sounds like a damaged CD, perhaps a flawed copy of an original.
 
If other CDs work, this must be damaged.
Damage on the CD does not need top be seen to be there.
Try the CD on another computer.

If Windows XP is retail contact Microsoft if appropriate:

If OEM, contact the seller, Microsoft may not be able to help.
