Can't access Windows Update site !!

Can anyone advise me why I cannot get anything but a blank page when I
visit the Windows Update site. I have it set as a trusted site and I
seem to have the correct security options but I still get nothing. IE
works on other sites ok by the way. Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the trouble to respond but the tip did not work for
me. If I start IE and then go to "Tools and Windows Update" I just get a
blank page. This uses the url http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/, but
if I paste this url
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us, I
get the windows update page saying "checking to see if I have the latest
version of the windows update software". That is all I get though, it
seems to go no further at all ? Help please?
