I cannot bring up www.petsit.com using Explorer. I was able to access it for one day using Explorer then POOF, no more. I've removed my virus scan (and put it back on when confirmed that wasn't the problem), I don't have a firewall, I disabled the pop up blocker and still no go. The only thing I did was install Microsoft Publisher - so I removed it and I still can't get on. I cleaned the cache. Defrag the drive. Pulled my hair out. Any ideas on why I can't access it?

Can you reach other sites? Perhaps this "petsit" site is temporarily down,
by no fault of your system. This happens from time to time.

Willie,
Yes, I can reach every other site I've tired. I know petsit is working - this is going to sound weird, but I can access it using AOL on the same PC - but not on Explorer or Netscape. I need to be able to access it on Explorer. I thought maybe it was just my Explorer that's why I downloaded both Netscape and AOL. I don't want keep AOL. I need to access this site though for my business. Hmmm... Whaddya think?

Tom,
I tried that before... my system would not restore prior to that - I don't know why. Maybe because of all the defraging and program removing I've done trying to figure this out. Any other ideas?

Clear out all of your temp Internet Files, Cookies and history. then try again, then while there, click on the "Programs' tab, and click the "Reset Web Settings" button, click "Advanced" tab, and then the "Restore Defaults" button and try again.

Tom,
Unfortunately that didn't work either. Hmmm... any other ideas?
Thanks for working this with me.

One more thing,.. I just recieved the following error when I was trying to access the link from a search page: Can not find script file “c:\Program Files\support.com\TWC\vbs\verifyconnection.vbsâ€. What does that mean?

I don't know, but that may be the problem, browse to that folder, and see what program place that there. Do you have a Program called "Support.com (or the like)? It sounds like your modem installation file/folder (just guessing!)

Anyway, i am off to visit a firend from out of town, so won't be back until much later, hope you get this resolved. You may also want to post this in the

Check the contents of your hosts file in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc.
(Note, the file has no extension.). If the problem URL is not in the hosts
file, this is not the problem! If it is, remove that line.
