can't access restricted websites

My Norton expired, so I uninstalled it and then installed Anti-Virus 2005 the
next day. Now when I try to access a secure website I get the message that
my server canot be found....I can go to most websites, but once I have to put
in a password I can go no farther.

I have an IBM PC and AOL.

Can anyone help?

Also...I've tried adding the websites to my Trusted Sites...no good...I've
tried changing security settings...no good....Could XP have "put up" a
firewall that won't let me onto the secured sites?

Thanks again.

IIRC, NAV 2005 has a firewall in it. If you are using it and the Windows
Firewall (from SP2 it is turned on automatically), you need to 1) only
use the NAV firewall; 2) adjust the firewall settings.
