I have Outlook Express on Windows XP opertaing system.

I attempted to create a new Mail account in Outlook
Express. I already have multiple accounts, 5 to be
exact, 2 from charter.net and 3 from flash.yahoo.net. I
created
a new one, and I cannot recieve mail from that account.
When I go to Recieve Mail, and it gets to 'Authorizing' a
LOGON screen comes up with the server address, User Name,
which was entered, and password, which was also entered,
and the 'Remember Password' box was greyed out. When I
hit 'OK', it just keeps coming up and will not let me
advance. When I hit cancel, the errors screen says

"There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your
Password was rejected. Account: 'POP.charter.net (2)',
Server: 'pop.charter.net', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error
Number: 0x800CCC92"

What is this? Ive never had this problem with my other
accounts. What can I do differently?

My response was something like make sure your user name
and password are entered correctly.

Yes I am absolutly positive the user name and password are
correct for 2 reasons: 1. I didnt even have to enter them,
they were entered already on the pop-up window. 2. I tried
retyping them MULTIPLE times EXACTLY how they are in the
properties of the account. Still, to this day i have no
such luck.

Also, now when I open the program, a pop-up saying
MSMSGS.EXE cannot be loaded because IDLEMON.DLL cannot be
found. I know this has something to do with some Instant
Messaging something. What is it and how do I make this
stop?

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number. Good luck!
