I have 2 drives on my pc both running XP, c: is pro and
F: is home. My question is this, I can access files from
C: but not files from F: How do I get access from the
files on my F: drive (keep in mind Im a beginner) maybe
there are some archives I can read? Please help

Thanks
Rick

Hi Rick,

What happens when you try to access files from F:? Is there an error
message? If so, what does it say?

Error messages are your friend, they tell you what is wrong (well, most
times anyways). Knowing the error message can go a long way towards
resolving the problem.

there are no files to access from F: that is my main
concern. It shows 24G available and 34 total but all my
files are missing. Did I lose all my files?

Hi,

You may have the system set to hide files and folders marked with hidden and
system attributes.

Go to the Control Panel/Folder Options, and on the View tab, set the options
so you can see hidden and system files. Specifically:

Enable (check) "Display the contents of system folders"
Enable (check) "Show hidden files and folders"
Disable (uncheck): "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)"

I also recommend that you disable (uncheck) "hide extensions for known file
types".
