Can't access delivered email

I have Windows XP and use Outlook express for my email. I also have
Norton for security. Sometimes, not always, when I boot up Outlook
Express, it will say something like "Two new emails" but nothing
appears on my Inbox list. Server connection is fine. I'm afraid I'm
missing important emails and don't know how to access them. Is this a
security issue?
 
Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.
