hi, i'm desesperated, im trying to play a game but when i open it pops up a
"cannot init d3d or grf file has problem" error. i already check the directx
in the tests and it seems that my pc cannot play 3d figures. I guess that my
pc doesnt recognize any, the video and the sound card, cuz the sound is gone
too. this happened when i changed my windows milenium for xp. Im
desesperated, please someone help me. Thanks

Download and install updated drivers for your graphics card from the
manufacturer's website.

how could i know what driver should i download? My Video Adapter says SiS
300/305/630/540/730 what does this mean? what should i download?

That means you've got what is called "onboard" video, and not a real
graphics card. That type of setup doesn't support as much functionality as
a regular graphics card. You might nose around the SiS site, though, and
look under support and downloads to see if anything might help your system:

last question for this thread. i'm downloading a driver from the said site
now. so, i'm right with the Video Adapter is also known as my VIdeo Card or
pretty much like that?

Hi Wufei?,

Yes, your onboard graphics chipset can be considered as a video adapter
on your system even though it's not as functional as an AGP video card. :-)

You might identify your onboard video a little more precisely
if you use this utility: http://www.sis.com/support/ocis/
