I have used this scanner for a long while now, however my PC cannot now open the twain driver for it. I have uninstalled and re installed , system re store etc to no avail.
I believe this has something to do with a windows update, as my main pc is updated regularly, and for some reason the above happens. I then installed the scanner on a laptop which is fully updated ( and on which the scanner has never been installed prevoiusley) and the same thing happens. If i connect the scanner to an old PC that has not been updated for a long time the scanner works fine the only difference between the computers is the updated windows
I have been to canon's website downloaded drivers but still no joy
Anyone got any ideas??
 
Nige, have you checked here http://tinyurl.com/25qbd Install the
drivers and software before you
connect the Scanner.

yes i have, i found that site before i posted the question by searching on here. Still no joy unfortunately. I'm convinced its caused by a windows update. I read a similar problem on another forum, and they too have linked it to an update, but like me are still stuck.
