Canon photostitch

This program downloaded fine on my Windows 98 computer, but not on my XP machine. Can someone tell me how to get it to work? The support at Canon said the problem was not with their software because it works on the 98, but with XP.
 
PhotoStitch v3.1.3 certainly works fine on XP here.... what printer did your
PhotoStitch application come with. Mine came with a i950 which obviously is
a current model printer. If yours came with an older one, it may need some
upgrade.
