Hi I purchased a Canon BJC 50 printer but the handbook
said WIN XP doesn't like the IrDA interface on the
printer. Does anyone know how to make Win XP like the
IrDA interface on the CANON BJC 50?
The IrDA interface is 1.0 115.2 kbps
Manual says it needs Microsoft IR communications Driver
Version 2.0. Is this compatable with Win XP? Is there
an XP replacement??

How long have you had this Printer? If you can return it,
do so and get the Canon i850. Your problems will be
solved, and as well you will have a fantastic printer for
doing Photos, as well as Text. I had the same printer as
you are mentioning, and had the same problem.
I am from Canada, and don't know what the price of the
Canon i850 is in the U.S., but it cost me $149.00
Canadian Funds.
