Hi all,

I'm using XP Profesional Edition which has been upgrade
from XP Home Edition.

The problem is I couldn't connect to internet through dial
up connection using modem.
On the Internet connection wizard, it get the grey colour
which couldn't been clicked.

Any suggestion to this problem except format operating
system ?

Regards,

Nita

Have you tried through phone and modem options in the control panel?
Click the modem tab, highlight your modem, click properties. Look on the bottom of
the page and see if your modem is enabled.

Hi,

Is hte modem configured and is it visible in the control
panel settings. If not then you will have to reconfigure
the modem again after the upgrade so that u will be able
to use Dial up networking.

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Standard Checkpoints:

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Set these three to "Automatic":

Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager,
Telephony.
