Hi all,

I have 2 XP Home machines on my DSL network with a Linksys router. At
one point the computers could see each other just fine, but after
tweaking here and there, they cannot see each other.

Oddly enough, I CAN ACCESS the shared printer just fine.

ICF is turned on and NetBios is Enabled over TCP/IP.

I have restarted "Computer Browser" in services.

When I do a "net view" I can see both computers.

Still no luck. My Windows 2000 laptop that I sometimes bring home from
work can see both computers just fine though.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Thanks!
Katy

If you can ping each unit from the other in one unit go to search and search
for the other by ip address when found double click it by doing so it should
be added to your network places. The only thing that would stop it from
opening after the double click would be you don't have necessary permission
but you will get a password window type administrator\computer name then
password used to logon locally. should get you in.

Hello!

I can ping it fine, but when I try to search for it or even add
network places directly, I can't find anything! Isn't that odd?

I also, when trying to browse the network, don't see MS Client
Network, just terminal services ???

Thanks,
Katy
