I have a new PC with Win XP Home and Office 2003 Pro. I wish to use Outlook
2003 Contacts as my Word 2003 address book. However, when I click 'Insert
Address' in Word, I only get my email address book - not my full Contacts
address book with mailing addresses, etc.

Help!

Thanks, Russ.

I installed Outlook 2003 from an Office 2003 Pro CD-ROM. Then imported my
Contacts address book from my old version of Outlook 97.

I had seen MS KB Art 301447, but was put off by the fact that, at the end,
it says that it only applies to Outlook and Word 2000 and 2002 and I was
reluctant to start messing with my Registry if the Art doesn't apply to
Word/Outlook 2003.

Best

Provide your installation sequence.
When the Word Address Book shows only Contacts with e-mail addresses, that
usually means you did an inplace upgrade from IMO support mode of Outlook
and Word's Address book remains linked to your old Outlook profile. This
MS KB article may help:

You left out a lot of important troubleshooting information. Do not make us
try to guess at such things.
How did you do this import? Not sure what you imported since Outlook has no
address book. In the future, remember that importing is a poor way to
transfer Outlook data.
Make sure your PST file is intact and displaying all your Contacts
correctly. Then try creating a new profile from scratch and make sure you
have the Outlook Address Book configured correctly to display this Contacts
Folder.
