I am trying to update Internet Explore, but cannot get the update to run
right. I've been having all kinds of problems, first trying to download the
update, the update download would just stop downloading with a message that
says "unable to download... try again later" or something to that affect. I
finally managed to get the update downloaded, but now when I try to install
the update I get the oddest message... it says the software has not passed
the Windows logo testing and won't be installed... See this screenshot:

When I press okay on the "windows logo testing" screen, I get a message that
says "Setup was unable to install all the components. Please close all
applications and try running setup again."
When I try to run setup again, it tells me that a previous setup was not
completed, and that I need to restart the system. if I restart the system
and try to run the setup... It says the download file was damaged, and when
I start from the very beginning... Same thing... grrrrrrrr
Anybodsy have any idea what might be going on here?
I've run several spyware/adware programs, 3 different virus detection
programs, defragmented my hard drive, and even went so far as going into
taskmanager and ending all non-windows related tasks... still no luck... I'm
really at a loss here
