Cannot unstall several programs

I am trying to unstall a couple of pop-up stop programs I installed. When I click add/remove programs the uninstall programs starts for a brief second and it is stopped with a message on the screen that reads "could not open install.log file". Please help.

Do you still have the installation programs?
Try to install them again and then uninstall them.
