Hi Terry,

How to remove Windows XP Service Pack 2 from your computer
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;875350

The above article discusses various methods to remove XP SP2. If you've
already removed the $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder, then uninstallation of
SP2 is not possible. In that case, you'll need to perform a System Restore
rollback. See section "Use the System Restore process" in the above article.
Short of that, perform a repair installation which reverts ALL the Windows
Update hotfixes and Service packs which you've installed earlier. You'll
need to re-apply them. Here you go for the repair install procedure:

XP SP2 slipstream and a clean install caused no problems for me in both of
my test configurations. If you're not satisfied with the upgrade
installation of SP2 (facing problems?), you can try a clean install again
after integrating SP2 with XP. Be sure to backup your data before performing
a Clean XP installation.
