cannot sync using pocket pc 2003

In order to be able to sync using pocket pc 2003 and outlook 2002, Microsoft Outlook Personal Backup has to be removed. Any other way to fix this problem or an easy way to backup Outlook?
 
Thanks. The sync problem was solved when I contacted HP. Microsoft just ignores conflicts between their own programs, in this case Outlook 2002, Pocket PC 2003 and Microsoft Outlook backup.
