I cannot shut down my computer from the start button nor
can I log off or switch users. I have to turn it off
manually, when i turn it back on I get this
message, "Parser Message"- " RCINT failure. String table
ID not found. '41' at line 187. I then have to click okay
numerous times and it takes me to Log on to Windows
screen. From here I go to my start up screen and then I
recieve the following - "Windows cannot
find '....... ..............' make sure you typed the
name correctly and then try again." After clicking okay,
This message appears- " Desktop- Could not load or
run '....... ..............' specified in registry. Make
sure the file exists on your computer or remove the
reference to it in the registry." Can anyone help me? I
have no clue as to how i did this or how I might fix it.

Hi,

Considering that you have Windows XP pro. I have seen this problem
happening if you have installed Stardock's LogonStudio. This problem may
occur even if Stardock's LogonStudio is uninstalled. If the Stardock's
LogonStudio is not uninstalled uninstall the same.

After uninstalling Stardock's LogonStudio make appropriate changes in
registry. To edit registry, go to start-> Run-> Regedit.

Delete the following key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\current version\explore\menu
order\start menu2\programs\stardock cursor xp

Search for Stardock in the regisitry and deleted any folders that come up.
Search for stardock on the computer and deleted any files for stardock

Rebooted the computer and it will reboot without any problem, and also
should not give any error when it boots back.
