Cannot send or recieve mail

Can someone help please I am having trouble with my email I continue to get a
error message that states:
Subject 'test', Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com.sg', Server:
'smtp.mail.yahoo.com.sg', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 8BITMIME',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D
 
I also cannot send or receive - I keep getting the error message:
POP3 and SMTP not correct. I don't know what they are asking me. I have
Verizon FIOS and use yahoo and verizon and gmail for email accounts.
Has anyone gotten a response to this?
 
first check to make sure your socket numbers are correct w/your internet
company. Then check what security system you have on your computer. I added
AVG to my computer after buying it an received the same mesg. After removing
AVG my windows mail came thru. Check the way your security system filters
mail.
