Peter Thomas

Hello,

I am using Outlook XP (stand alone) on two pc's (one win2k and one win xp).
The last days I tried to configure them for the use of digital certificates
and encryption with s/mime.

So far I can send signed mails, can receive signed mails and can even
receive encrypted mails and can decrypt them. But I cannot send encrypted
mails; on both pc's. (Once Outlook even crashed when I tried to encrypt a
mail with an attachment.)
Each time I try to send an encrypted mail I get the message that Outlook had
problems encrypting the mail and that either the certificate is not there or
invalid or that the method of encryption is either incompatible or is not
supported.

I really have no clue what to do and I could not find any help in the
newsgroups so far. So I would be really thankfull for any suggestions.

Kind regards,
Peter

What type and provider for the certificate do you have?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Peter Thomas asked:
