I cannot send e-mails via Windows Mail, but do receive. The message I get is -
The host 'smpt.telus.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly (which I have). Subject 'test'. Account
'pop.telus.net', server: 'smpt.telus.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port:25, Secure
(SSL): No, Socket error:11001, Error number: 0x800ccc0d. Now these are the
same settings I use on other computer with XP & Outlook Express & it does
just great. Does this have something to do with the GREAT VISTA? Please help
me. Thanks

Check what happens if you change the smpt in 'smpt.telus.net' to smtp.

Does your connection to the server go through telus.net equipment all the
way?
If not, such connections to port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for
spammers.

Ask telus.net for their instructions for setting up to use their email
servers.
Check if these instructions require any setting other than what you already
have under Windows Mail.
