Cannot send edited outbound mail

Hello,
I have a problem with outgoing messages. If I write them, and send them,
there is no problem, but if I open a messge before sending it (from outbox)
and modify it, and then try to send it (presing "send" on the toolbar, it
goes back to the outbox, but the little icon which is normaly is like closed
envelope, stays like an open envelope, and when I hit "send/receive" the
message do not go out. I am using WinXP (with all the service packs and
updates up to date) and office 2003 (also with all updates upto date). and
Norton 2004 (my setting for scanning outbound mails are switched off).

Any sugestions apreciated.

There seems to be an issue with Outlook 2003 sending mail while you are
viewing the Outbox. Switch to another folder before clicking Send.
