Are you at work, connected to SMTP Server: 'mail.cpconsultingfirm.com'?

If so talk to your sys admin.

If not, then you need to enter the SMTP server address of who you are using
to connect, your ISP or mail provider.

Tools>accounts>server tab

Cpconsultingfirm is not your ISP. As such, your home ISP will block
your use of any port 25 SMTP server other than their own.
For an explanation of this policy, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

To send from home, you will have to substitute your home ISP's
SMTP server. If you need help with that, let us know who your
home ISP is.

This is what I was told to use to setup my e-mail.

Manual Settings
Mail Server Username: pwillis+cpconsultingfirm.com
Incoming Mail Server: mail.cpconsultingfirm.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.cpconsultingfirm.com (server requires
authentication)
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS
(SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

"Gary VanderMolen" sultingfirm is not your ISP. As such, your home ISP will
block

None of that information matters, since your ISP will block port 25
connections to mail.cpconsultingfirm.com. The only way you can send
with that account is to change the SMTP server name to the SMTP server
belonging to your ISP. Who provides your Internet connection?

Cox Communications

Make the following change:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select the 'Work' account,
click Properties, Servers.
Change the name of the outgoing (SMTP) server to
smtp.west.cox.net (see Note). Also, UNcheck the box for "My
server requires authentication".
Note: Cox server names are geographically based. Pick out the
correct SMTP server name for your location from here:
http://support.cox.com/sdccommon/as...sprt_cid=fcb44db0-3835-491c-bca8-2d56ac32a574

Do not change any other settings.Click OK.
Try sending.
