I understand that the HD's are both the same ie ntfs but only the c drive has
been picked up. How do i find second drive?

If you have recently installed a second hard drive then it requires 3 steps:
1. Initialise
2. Partition [if required]
3. Format
4. Assign Drive letter

If you do not perform steps 1 & 3 then it won't be viewable under My Computer.

Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Double-click Administrative
Tools, and then double-click Computer Management, click on Disk Management

Right click MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE.

Choose DISK MANAGEMENT from the list on the left hand side and then this
will display a diagram of all drives in your computer. IE Disk 0, Disk 1,
CD ROM.

Assuming you are booting XP off your C Drive then that shuld be Disk 0 and
should read something like "Disc 0 - BASIC - 115.4 GB - Online".

Then you may see something like "Disk 1 - Basic - 37.26GB - OFFLINE". If
this is the case, RIGHT CLICK the words Disk 1 (on the grey bit) and choose
INITIALIZE (I cant remember if that is the right word).
