Cannot search from the address bar

All of a sudden I am no longer able to search from the address bar of IE6
SP1.

I used to just keyin some text and it would search and display results.

run spybot security.kolla.de

search and rename all hosts and lmhosts files.

internet properties advanced uncheck enable third party
browser extensions click ok and reboot

An easier way to deal with this is to remove spyware with Spybot Search
& Destroy from www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs before running
them. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe
Mode. Of course, you should have a current antivirus program running at
all times. "Current" means a version not earlier than 2002 using
updated definitions.
