Cannot save new contact; invalid parameters

I recently changed my pda from palm to microsoft operation software. So I am
new to Microsoft Outlook. I cannot save even one new contact due to invalid
parameters. Can anyone help?
 
With that little information, probably not.

List what you are trying to do -

1. Save a contact from where to where?
2. What version of Outlook are you using?
3. Can you successfully sync your PDA and Outlook?
4. When you say you "can't" - what happens when you try?
5. List any exact error messages you receive when you try.

Okay, here goes. Being a new user to Outlook 2003, I am typing information
into the new contact screen directly. I cannot sync my palm to my outlook
because my sony clie' is broken and that is the only way I can find to sync.
In other words, the hot sync option exists only on the sony and not on the
desktop. So, I open Outlook 2003 and select new contact then enter name,
occupation, e-mail, address, and phone. When I hit save and close the error
message comes up: Cannot complete the operation, Invaild parameters. I hope
I have provided you with some information, which may allow you to offer some
help.

Since your Palm is inoperative, let's just leave that out of this
discussion.

Have you tried running Detect and Repair on your Outlook installation? It
is under Help->Detect and Repair. Ensure you have access to your Office
2003 CD.

If that does not work, then try scanpst.exe to see if there are errors that
need to be fixed. You can locate it using Windows Search.
