Cannot save Jpeg photos

Photos which are jpeg can only be saved as bmt.

For months I had been saving internet jpeg photos as jpeg
on my computer. The past week when I called up a
particular site with jpeg photos, now when I want to save
them but the only option available is bmt.

I am not using AOL. My internet provider is Cox
Communications.

Any suggestions on how I can restore the jpeg option to
what it once was?
