Cannot run eplorer.exe

When i loggon in win2000 i can see the desktop, i can run
my application using the task manager, i try to start
explorer.exe, i see the taskbar just for a few second,
then it disappear. Please can help me!

I have to ask the question, the task bar is not set to
auto-hide, is it? I would assume not, but have to start at
the beginning.

I would definately run a virus scan and ad-aware to see if
anything nasty has been installed without you knowing
about it.

Check services to see if anything that is set to
automatically start is stopped. Maybe try restarting all
the services one at a time.
