I try to run this from the command line and get the message "Cannot lock current drive." I set the flag to run this at system startup, but the same thing happens at startup. I try to run Norton Disk Doctor and the same thing happens.

I have seen this question posted on several sites on the web, but no answers.

Has anyone seen a resolution to this? Please email if you have a solution.

Thanks.

Try running CHKDSK with the /R option from the recovery console, which is
run from the XP CDROM.
