Hi All,
Does anybody besides me think that Windows has long been missing a very
helpful feature, i.e., when the message cited above appears, it should
identify the specific agent (user or program) that is allegedly using the
subject folder.
Does Microsoft think that attaching a list of pointers to the identities of
the using objects would be so onerous a burden as to seriously compromise
performance. If so, couldn't a most-recently-used version of such a list be
economically attached to folders and files?
An additional option might be the ability to kill any named using-process,
provided the user had suitable authority.
Any opinions?
