After having the same problem many people have been posting on their quick launch toolbar being missing and not possible to recreate I tried following some advice posted on the main site ( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;240133 ) which states:
To resolve this issue, recreate the Quick Launch folder. To do this, perform one of the following procedures:
Create a folder named "Quick Launch" (without the quotes) at the following location:
C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
-or-
If you are currently using Windows Profiles, create the Quick Launch folder at the following location:
C:\Windows\Profiles\[profile name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
Where [profile name]is the name of the currently logged on user name. (Do not include the brackets)
However checking both locations I do not even have an Application Data folder by searching manually through my computer or by using the search option. I know I have never touched a folder with that name and would be interested in how to recreate such a folder as well.
