cannot read email/outlook express

Estimados sres microsoft

Les escribo para pedirles ayuda en relacion a mi software
Microsoft Outlook Express 6.

No puedo abrir mi folder INBOX, cuando intento abrirlo me
sale el mensaje :
"folder could not be displayed. possible causes are : low
disk space / low memory".
Este folder contiene aproximadamente 45 Mbytes de mensajes.

Anteriormente a este hecho, de manera accidental abri este
archivo con WordPad y luego de demorarse mucho tuve que
reiniciar el sistema. No se si esto causo algun danyo en
este archivo.

Desearia saber como reparar mi archivo INBOX, ya que tengo
informacion muy importante en este.

I am writing to request assistance regarding Microsoft
Outlook Express 6.

I cannot open my INBOX folder. WHen I open it, a message
appears with the following text:
"Folder could not be displayed. Possible causes are: low
disk space / low memory."
This folder contains approximately 45 MB worth of messages.

Before running into this problem, I (accidentally) opened
this file with wordPad; since it was taking too long for
the file to open with WOrdPad, I restarted the PC. I
don't know if this caused any damages to the file itself.

I would like to know how to repair this problem with my
INBOX. I have stored important information in the folder
and cannot afford to lose it.

Hi,

Close all e-mail enabled applications and rename INBOX.DBX to
INBOX.ORIGINAL. The next time you start Outlook Express, it will create a
new file. At this point you can try getting dbxtract to see if there is any
items that you can pull out of the corrupted file.
