cannot print without printing selection

I am unable to print a document without selecting the text inside the document and printing the selection. If I choose Print from the file menu, I get blank paper. If I select the text and choose Print Selection from the Print Dialog box, the doucment prints. I have never seen this before. There is a table in the bottom part of the doucment, but I have removed the table and still have the printing problem. Any idea???
 
Just one document or all documents?
