I just spent a half hour trying to help
my wife easily select a portion of a text
email message and print it.
I assured her how easy it was to do this
and that one only needed to select
the text with the mouse and then click on File,Print
and the selected text would print(duh!).
Apparently this does not work and it prints the
entire message (sheepish look on face).
After some checking, there appears to be NO easy way to do this
without, for example, pasting it into a word processor or email edit
program (astonished look on face).
ASIDE TO MICROSOFT: THIS IS A DISGRACE, THE PRODUCT MANAGER
HAS LET THIS PROBLEM GO ALL THIS TIME AFTER NUMEROUS
PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT.
I will now download and try out both Star Office and the Thunderbird email
program
in the hope that they have perhaps some competent programmers and managers
and have provided for this very obvious user feature.
