I am trying to open a word document from my e-mail and don't want to save it to the hard drive first. Why do I get an erro
message saying there is not enough memory to open the document and to shut down all other programs and try again. I tried that and it still won't open the document. Please help

Thanks

Lester

Let me guess, There is not enough information. Let me give you some more....I have 2.0 intel processor and 40 gig free on the hard drive. There should be plenty of memory to open this file but my computer won't open it. Even if I save it on the hard drive, launch the MS Word word processor on my beefy e-machine it won't finish openeing the document

Still need help

If other docs are opening ok then the file is corrupted. Use Recover Text From Any File filter in the File Open dialog to suck the text out of the document.

Dell and IBM do not come with MS Word either, unless you pay extra for it.
Word is not included in any machine for FREE.

This viewer did the job! Thanks alot. You just saved me from having to
trash my e-machine and getting a dell or IBM.
E-machine does not come with MS Word. It comes with MS Works. The
extension .doc is an option for you to save in but not an option for you to
open with.
