Greetings,

We run our desktops in a 'locked down' state. The users cannot access
or see the C: drive. The applications run from the C: drive but all
data is stored on the network shares. We have recently run into a
problem with MS access where users are able to open their databases and
view/change all aspects of the tables, etc, but when they try to open a
report there is no response. I wonder if Access tries to write
something to the C: drive by default and this is not being allowed thus
giving the look of no response. Any ideas?

Thank you

Hi,
the only file that access creates when opening is the ldb file and that is
created in the directory where the file is stored itself. Report problems
normally have something to do with printer issues. Do the workstations have a
printer driver installed. If not then you would need to do
that...additionally make sure if there are some installed that they are not
corrupt.
HTH
Good luck
