As the title reads, lately I haven't been able to acces any link from any
HTML based email; if I click on any hyperlink from any email I would get a
dialog box saying "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in
effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator", well....
I AM the system administrator and I have put any restrictions what so
ever....!!!

This is rather new and I've never had this problem before. I disabled
Norton Internet Security and decreased the security level down to Low and yet
I get the same dialog box.

HELP....!!! I haven't been able to read my online news and digests for a
while and it's getting enoying. Thanks :)

Can you open Internet Explorer and go to Tools->Internet Options, Programs
Tab and click Reset Web Settings and let us know what happens?

I found that if you have installed Firefox ver 1.0.it causes this problem.
the fix is a system restore from a previous date. uninstall firefox does not
fix the problem.

I am having this same problem with my new PC which has Firefox 1.01
installed. If I make IE my default browser, links in Office 2003 products
now work. This is not an acceptable fix as I want to use Firefox. I have a
similar configuration on my laptop and don't have to give my lif back to IE
on that machine, so there is obviously something more to this issue.

.. . . . and by the way would Diane Poremsky stop posting the same answer to
these types of questions which are about Office 2003 not Office XP to which
her links relate. Read the question first before posting!.

Just to note - many of the fixes for Outlook 2002/Office XP also work with
Outlook 2003/Office 2003 but are not documented as such - yet.
