cannot make MDE file from MDB

Microsoft Access generated the following message when i
tried to convert the finished database to MDE file from
MDB file:

Microsoft Access was unable to create an MDE file

Anyhere knows what is the cause of the problem?

If you are using Access 2002, see if the database window says it's in 2000
format.

If so, Tools | Database Utilities | Convert Database | To 2002 format.

You may have some Compile Errors that will prevent Access
to make MDE.

Open any code module and do a Compile. Fix any error
found. Repeat until no errors found and then try to make
MDE again.

I have the same problem both in Acess 2000 and Acess 2002

Where are you trying to place the file. I've seen it fail if you tried to save to a
network drive, but would work fine if saving to a local drive. You can then copy it to the
network drive.
