For some reason, I cannot log on one of the DCs. When logging on, the system
logs me out. Any idea? Thanks.
 
check the GPs, the Domain Controller Security policy, and the event viewer
logs from a workstation.
 
Sorry. I should say that I cannot log on the DC locally by using domain
Administrator account. I also cannot map the c$ from other machines but d$ is
OK. No GPs setup to prevent domain admin to log on locally. There is no
problem for users to log on domain. Thanks.

Can you not remotely view the event logs on the server, from a workstation,
while logged in with domain admin rights?
 
Yes, I can view event log from other DCs. There are some errors and warnings
there. What are the typical ones I need to look for? Thanks.
