It seems that someone has changed the log in details on a
school Windows 2000 system. It had been 'username
=administrator' and blank password. Now we cannot access
this PC. Can you suggest how to solve this problem? If so
we would be extremely grateful!

You could check the many existing posts that have
"password" in the Subject line.

Get your self a copy of a Linux boot disk. When you boot
from it, it assumes you are trying to convert to Linux so
you are given the opportunity to change the WIN2K
Administrator password to match the Linux Administrator
password. Change the password for WIN2K and then reboot
without the Linux disk. The password will be what you
changed it to and you can reconfigure it to whatever you
want. This works, I've used it many times...Good Luck!
