cannot install xp

I have a asus sk8n motherboard (without software), and a western digital wd360 hard drive... (also without software)... The asus motherboard is not detecting the harddrive and therefore I cannot install win xp... how can I go about fixing this???? How can I get this to work???????
 
You go to the Asus web site and download the drivers necessary for your
motherboard. Same for the hard drive - go to the WD web site.

If the mobo is not detecting the hard drive then you better check the BIOS.
