I was using outlook 2000 on windows 98 and just installed windows xp on a new
hard drive with outlook xp. For some reason I cannot import the .pst folder
with all my outlook info into the new program. I have the old hard drive hook
up as a secondary drive so I can still access all the data on it. When I try
to import using the wizard it cannot find the .pst file on the old drive. I
even tried renaming the new outlook folder to something else and copied the
outlook folder from the old hard with all my data and put it in its place and
it still won't work. I have tried uninstalling outlook xp and re-installed
outlook 2000 to see if I could import the data using the same version of
outlook but had no luck. I've tried exporting the .pst file from my old drive
which made a backup.pst file but I can't import that into the new program
either. I don't want to loose all of my emails. Does anyone have any ideas,
I'm thinking it might a problem that windows xp is creating and not actually
outlook.
