Cannot get XP to recognize more than 127gbs

I've recently upgraded my PC. i had to install my copy of the original XP on
the new 300gb drive, but it didnt want to let me use ore than 127gb. Then I
installed SP2. Didn't recognize more than 127gb. I enabled LBA. Still didnt
work.
my mobo supports 48 bit
the jumpers on the devices are set correctly
but something is wrong. if you could help i'd really appreciate it.
 
Try run,type:diskmgmt.msc You should find free unallocated space,create
a partition,format.If not present,go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:DiskPart
In DiskPart type:list disk type:list volume The free space should
show,type:
HELP for all cmds
