Hi All
I am trying to install a fresh Win XP Pro onto my Toshiba 2805-S402
from an OEM/Academic CD. XP has been on this computer in the past. I
have FDISK'd all existing partitions and am starting from the CD via
direct boot on CD. In setup I again delete any partitions (there are
actually none showing), choose to create a single partition and format
that partition with NTFS (not quick even though I have tried this
too). Setup formats to about 20%, hangs for a sec, then goes 100% and
says it fails and cannot format the drive. I have run Norton NDD
surface scan, no problems. I can format this drive with win98, no
problem.
What gives? Any ideas?
I have also upgraded to the latest Toshiba bios, no help. And check
bios for any ide specific issues, no dice.
Ugh
