cannot find the file

to all members of newsgroup
when i make a download of an e.g. file from the internet i am asked to
decide between two options: run the file opening from the internet or save it
on hdd.
when i decide to open at once from the internet the file is downloaded but
the the pc tells me it cannot find the file. i think it cannot find the temp
file.
please help me with this problem and excuse my bad english; i am from
europe,germany

Hi

You shouldn't open the file without running a virus check on it first -
wherever it comes from - so save it to the hard disk first. Then virus
check it and open it. You should be given the option as to where the file
can be saved onto your hard disk - this means you can chose which folder to
download to.
