cannot find " commdlg.dll " file

When trying to start a program from the CD an error
window says "cannot find commdlg.dll file" and the
program will not start.I searched and found this dll file
in the system folder.What is the problem?
 
Hi Tom,

The .dll was probably replaced by an earlier version. Try going to
Start/Run/CMD and running: SFC /Scannow.

Other options are to extract a fresh copy: X:\I386\COMMDLG.DL_ or go to
Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 commdlg.dll

/top10faqs.htm
 
Try this. go>start\run and type in regsvr32 /i commdlg.dll
and then click ok or hit enter on your key board. Be sure
to put it in exactly as I typed it with a space after the
32 and the i . Keep smiling.

You can go to this site "fix-all-dll-errors.com"
This will solve your dll file problem. as I registered few dls from this site as it is free...worked in my case.
