It sometimes happens that after I copy a file to a USB RAM drive, I cannot
stop the drive so that I can pull it out. I get a message something like
"The drive cannot be stopped at this time. Please try again later."
Waiting until "later" makes no difference.
Nothing is writing to the drive, nothing is accessing it as far as I know.
All applications have been closed down, even Windows Explorer. Still, the
drive cannot be stopped. I end up having to reboot.
How can I force-flush any file writes and stop the drive?
