Cannot download any Windows Updates!

I cannot access Windows Update site (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/). What I get is a split screen, at the top of the screen an error message appears "The page cannot be found", at the bottom, a blank screen

I have installe
Windows 2000 Professiona
Internet Explorer 6.0, Service Pack 1

Are there any fixes for this? I cannot download any updates

I experienced this problem two days ago. I resolved it by
reinstalling the IE 6.0 SP1 patch directly from the Web
site, and then went back to the windows update area and
everything worked again. Good luck.

I am grateful for your immediate response
Unfortunately, with the reinstalled IE 6.0 SP1 I am still having the same problems. Any other advises you can give me.
